Abstract

In this talk, I will (i) compare three different structures for degree phrases; (ii) argue that a modernizer version of a generalized quantifier analysis of attributive comparatives (Mary read a longer book than Bill) is compatible with one of these analytical options only, and (iii) propose a new asccount for multi-headed subcomparatives (More men than women smoke). Time permitting, I will address a new generalization about subcomparatives.
